FAQs

What’s a mobile clinic?

A mobile clinic, means that the provider comes to you. The goal with this is to make it easier on the client. As a mom, Dr. Marissa understands how challenging it can be to coordinate childcare and leave the house for appointments. We want to eliminate some of those obstacles by coming to you. I also recognize the importance of attending physical therapy outside of your home. That's why I offer services at two convenient locations: The Grow Collective in Oconomowoc and Crossphysio in Bayview.

Do you take insurance?

Pelvic Fit is an out of network provider. This means that we do not directly work with insurance companies. You can however, reach out to your insurance provider to determine your out of network benefits. As an out of network provider, Pelvic Fit allows YOU to be the driver of your healthcare, not insurance companies.

Can I use an FSA/HSA or be reimbursed through insurance?

You absolutely can use an FSA/HSA card. Pelvic Fit can provide a Superbill, which is a receipt of the services provided. You can then submit this receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement rates will vary and we recommend checking with your insurance prior to your initial evaluation.

Will I end up paying more if I don’t use my insurance?

Typically you will pay similar or even less for cash based services. For example, if you go to a big box therapy clinic, you will often be seen 2-3 times a week for 4-6 weeks. You may be seen by different providers, or at the same time as other patients. Often you will have a co-pay or co-insurance until your deductible is met. This means you would pay hundred of dollars per session, thousands of dollars a month. You could be spending all this money for insurance to dictate the kind of care you receive. As mentioned above, Pelvic Fit believes in one-on-one quality treatment. We also believe in home management and being seen only as often as needed, with an emphasis on teaching you to manage your condition on your own. Therefore, most people typically end up spending comparable or even less when seeing a cash-based provider. Most people also get higher quality and more personalized care.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

No, Pelvic Fit is a nonparticipating Medicare and Medicaid provider. We are unable to accept cash payment for any services covered by Medicare or Medicaid.
